not at all, most people buy the justjap kits which bolt onto your front bar reinforcement which is well away from your aircon system.

if you go for a brand name cooler id suggest getting a bracket made which lets it sit between the front bar reo and the condensor, and get all of your piping custom made to fit by an exhaust shop. this will save cutting into your front bar reo.

I just installed a just jap kit into a S2 R33 yesterday, took me 4 hours as i had never done a 33 before.

The reo needed trimming, as did the back of the bumper and side air dams to clear the pipes, Horns needed bending back or flipping around backwards to clear, and some plastic needs to be shaved off the AC fan, otherwise it all fits in no worries...

I'm wanting to get a bigger FMIC for my R33 at some stage. I have no idea which is the best to get either. However, I have heard that if you want a bigger FMIC, then you may have to sacrifice your air conditioning. Is this correct?

+1, not necessarily

as for fmic, go for the blitz Lm core. this core costs abit more than ur usual hybrid ones, but is high quality and utilizes the stock plumbing it will be an easier diy job.

just my two cents

cheers
