No. Not really as it only the top half that has been change. Simply the volume.

The runners are exactly the same, only this is better as it can now get more flow due to the pure size and 80mm throttle body. And this was built by someone who knows the ins and outs.

Size doesn't mean better flow, by someone who knows do you mean someone with an engineering degree? Theres a lot of maths in designing runners and a plenum to suit.

id like to say to say its good to finally see someone put this to the tests and see actual results not "my auntys dogs cousins sister said that her friends sisters boyfreind tried this and it was crap or......it made 1 million kw on 2psi with this being the only upgrade" lol. will be following your results goodluck

lol :teehee: ^^

everyone seems to be against "test and trail" of these plenums

i say give it a go, i have one off these and im goin to post up pics

paul r33 you say "its such an integral part, it would be like using fake chinese injectors

do you really want to risk it ?" yet paul is goin to modify a ecu the main brains of any rb and noone is against him..

i say keep up yet the test of the plenum lets see results and if it brakes and blows the motor than we knwo not to use them ...

At this stage im going to have to say I think im out of testing at the moment as i cannot locate a flow bench for starters, plus with cams on the way and isl33ps' plenum looking so tempting for something that has been tested flow benched and is much closer even between cyls and flows a fair amount of air for the right price, I dont know if i can resist in not accepting that, so at this stage i have to say "its a nay" How bout you teazn did you end up testing it???

i have not tested it but i have finished it very strong very smooth f**k the test ill compair it to my last dyno run willi have a flow bench here but mine is on the car cbf taking it off where you located ? can get it done if you want

I have a Greddy Copy eBay special.

Checked out the inside and it all looks very simetrical, only rough bit was ONE of the ports (but anyone who is holding the manifold in their hands and doesnt port match it should be shot).

Exterior was rough (but the original greddy's arent too smooth either) but nothing some time and patience couldnt fix. If your buying this for bling factor your a bloody idiot (i purchased it as im sick of having unnecesary pipework everywhere in my already limited space... RB25DET in a S13)

Fitted.... No leaks... works fine....

You dont always "get what you pay for", you also ALOT of the time pay for the brand name.

Some one flow test these thing DOOOO ITTTT!!!!

I'm really keen to see the results, i'm planning to use one on my rb when i turbo it, mainly for the piping route.

If this is just a direct mould of the real greddy item with some rough edges, with a bit of cleaning up theres no reason why it shouldnt be just as good as the "real thing". If the greddy manifold has such a good rep without the velocity stacks, then i cant see a reason why a copy with a bit of time spent on it cant flow just as evenly.

There is no point flow testing it, each one of these manifolds i have seen are different in one way or another, clean it up and it will be fine, internals were all good.

I'm rehashing this thread.

HOW/WHERE on earth do you plumb the AAC valve into ?

Yes, I know it bolts to the bottom of the plenum, but the black hose, that normally runs to the I/C pipe just before the throttle body - where does that go? Is everyone making up custom ones? Or just putting a breather on it?

Anyone have any REAL pics of the full plenum install?

you need to hook up a line to the IC piping before the TB so as to allow measured air into the system.

The Copy inlets do need to use the R33 AAC, but it's not as easy as just bolting it in.

RE Customs has done A JUN copy plenum suited to an R33 GTS-T and it works, but I'm not sure of the ins and outs of it.

Maybe you need to call Ray....
