Nah, the 707160-5. ie the ones on the link.

They are cheap (er than HKS stuff) & if you check the compressor map (something HKS dont/wont provide) you can see how efficient the compressor is. I was worried that they were a little large for the RB26, but the dyno chart says different.

Strikes me as being a little... well... optimistic unfortunately.

GT-SS are tiny-tot turbos of the HKS range.

Not much bigger than factory, around the same as R34 N1s.

When everyone makes 300-330rwkw from them, sitting around 20-22psi.

Then one car, just one... comes out and makes another 40-50rwkw from nothing doesnt add up at all.

If you said 2530's... it would be smack on the marker. But 370rwkw on PULP, thats very much unrealistic for GT-SS.

Without seeing them on a car with results, impossible to say

Then i'd say the dyno is reading way high.... most good tuners seem to get around 300-330rwkw out of GT-SS.

Anyone have a T04Z kit to throw up against the GTRS turbos?

I don't have one to hand, but I have seen a T04Z overlaid on my graph of GT-RS terbs and the response is basically identical when running standard RB26 cranks. The T04Z runs away at the top end providing an additional 50 rwhp or so. I can't comment on how they both would compare on a stroker crank, but I imagine the response on the T04Z would improve as it does with the GT-RS.

In hindsight (what a wonderful thing eh?) I believe that there are 3 choices for the HKS junkie when upgrading an RB26:

• GT-SS for a fast streeter
  
• 25/30s for a good track car
  
• T04Z for track/drag (or streeter with a stroker crank or RB30)
  

Still, it's kinda nice to be different and make decent hp with low mounts

Buy the 2530's(or -5s)......if you search for more horses latter with the ss's you will find the wall real quick.

But if you have 2530's....a little bit of engine work and they only get better.

2530's can support 350hp each (700hp)...so you are go with them till you can produce more from your motor.

The only choice made by most Japanese tuning houses for their street cars.

I was just looking at that, Paul. So any comparison must be adjusted as the KPH readings will be out on the two different tunes on Blitz's car.

i suspect it could make it read lower if anything

it should be shoot_6f as far as i can recall

there are different modes for various models of cars

etc

the f meaning forced induction, i think the f deontates to weaken the ramp rate little which i think prevents excessive ramping boost really quickly as engine load drives boost

The alchemist u r a champ thats exactly what I have been waiting to see 2860-5 all the way then cant imagine gaskets and studs making up the difference in price between hks and garrett
