How Fast does your skyline go?

Just wondering what top speeds people have had their skylines up to with the speed limiter taken off. (On private roads that is)

Heh, I don't know... My speedo only goes up to 180

A bit over 200, but no acceleration in 5th - not enough road left. These private roads can be a little short, you know :-)

how safe is removing the speed limiter by cutting wire 53? i was thining of fitting it to a switch to flick if i need to go past but i heard it can stuff up HICAS...?

from what i heard if you cut wire #53 all systems normal

except you wont be able to exit out of HICAS diagnostic mode

but if you hook it up to a switch then you can turn it on / off so you should be fine then

recommend buying an RSM

have to go with Airzone on this one. speedo just goes off the clock . i'd estimate a bit over 200, but then my fuel cut kicks in and she don't go no faster. need new computer to fix. unless anyone has had experience with the HKS fuel/boost cut lifters? worthwhile?

At Eastern Creek on the straight the RSM registered 230km/h but I think it's more like 210-220km/h.

I have gone WAY over the edge of my 200km/h speedo. I guess about 230-40. But I highly doubt it would have been going that fast, prbably more like 200-15.

I used a GPS to get an accurate reading, got to 235kmh doing about 6000rpm in 5th, then I regained my sanity and slowed down. Took a while to get there though

I've seen over 260 on my speedo but as most speedos are optimistic, I would estimate I was doing closer to the 245-250 mark. My car has so much more to go, I'd like to take it to a runway and try to pass the 300 barrier.

Try 247kph by the speedo R34 with mods,on private road mind you.

I'll be punting my GTS around some tracks soon so we'll see. It probably wont have the straight out grunt that the Toyota Crown had down the straight of eastern creek (it managed 210ish) but it should be a lot quicker over the whole circuit. I only managed a 205 sec lap at eastern creek and a 57.2 sec lap of oran park south in the Crown, so I'm hoping I can do a LOT better in the GTS.

235 read out on the power fc when i had it. it was a private road too- my mates backyard.
