Cheers man thanks, you were doing great too, as was 'ZILLA', we had a good run hehe, in fact i think all of the DTs were doing fairly well!

Your busted turbo is a blessing in disguise....just means you can bolt something bigger on now!

Yeah I agree the last few DT sessions were a lot of fun getting out there and having a good run with each other whilst not doing anything stupid (except for me over doing it on the second last corner in one of the later sessions :) )

Im in it because i like cars and like driving. Its my hobby and has been for years. WIll be that way until the day i die or CAMS revoke my licence :)

But to let you know how im wired and why i dont see my car as having that dire a problem. There is something very satisfying about knowing the car isnt perfect and you are still able coax it along. Its not so much about the times as the driving. A bit like the Autocross i did. Probably the most satisfying thing i have done in a car was get a good run because i finally got my head around how to get the car to do what it was trying not to do....but of course this approach does not always go to plan. >_<

Dude, you're pulling times only a second or so of some fast GTR's, in a little rwd, 2 litre, gtst...... once you spend more money and sort out the suspension it wouldn't suprise me at all for you to be up there beating some of the fast GTRs....

Its not really about beating anyone. Sure its good for beer talk, and dribbling shit. :) But, i read about stuff, try to absorb it. I challenge things i may not readily agree with and want to learn something every time im out there. Thats not always possible, thats why im always so attentive to what others are doing to there cars. Not because i care if can beat them or not, or i am being a sticky beak, but because i find it interesting looking at what areas/mods yield good results for ppl. I have long been curious, and continue to be curious about the merits of relative drivetrains/layouts. Again i find myself talkign far too much shit, LOL... "I just want to find someone that understands me" :laughing-smiley-014:

Anyway...thats how i approach it and the elements i enjoy. We all do it for different reasons/challenges. :)

You are looking at the wrong page. Look here, they seem the same to me...

And after watching a number of laps and in particular the woopsie a dozen times. The car seems to have locked the rears over the change of surface and bumps. ...so.

woo, i was only 8th slowest :)

does anyone know if the guy taken the photos from the corners has a website? i forgot and left before i checked if he had any ready. wouldn't mind seeing if he got any keepers

I got a card off him, it says the website is www.dcb-photo.com and the email address [email protected] and mobile 0416 026 252

Cheers

Send a PM to Chrisman on these forums. It's his dad that takes the pics.

Nice work Jack. Interesting that you are in 3rd gear in a couple of spots that I normally use 2nd.

The only thing I do different is drop to 2nd before the 2nd last corner instead of before the last corner. Otherwise I know I'm the same as Jack gearwise (when using say Scotsman R33 GTR).

Well, those rims and tyres are going, they aren't suited to the track whatsoever. Might be a while before I hit the track again, because I'm thinking about doing an engine rebuild before bolting on a new turbo...gotta work out some finances :)

Cheers for showing me the lines though, I loved that back section after the straight :P

Think hard about it before you do it Shane! I did the same due to a manifold issue... I haven't driven my car for over 7 months :P

Budge is too shy to post this but it needs to be done. Here's a good example of when brain fade attacks.

I'm Special

See, this is why people laugh when you keep blowing up your car :)

Pulling up the Commodore loosks like pretty hard work

It can be when you overcook it, no ABS, no power steering, 225 wide tyres and commodore brakes offered little to aid my predicament :P

And as for Budge's efforts, that's called karma for making me spin at calder

Archie, next time I will T-Bone you :P

Here if you missed it --->2.8mb - Save As

or do what I did, buy another engine and build it up while driving around on your current engine :P

Yes me too, although I'm in 2nd into turn 2 and through turn 3. I don't have enough bump travel to carry third through turn 3, I'd be into the fence after pogo-ing off the ripple strips. There is probably a second by just doing that.

I wish Ben's Japanese contact could find these magical TEIN's that are the goods for R32's. The Whiteline/Bilstein bits are just not cut out for curb hopping.

Cheers

BB

If you want a set of the Teins RS for an R32 GTR then let me know. I know of a set, only there is perhaps a little risk associated with delivery. I purchased them then failed to go through with payment as the user has several names and a friend suggested i not proceed with the purchase.

But at least you have a clubby to drive around :woot: All I have is an Express Van

    • Just a thought, but instead of restricting, is it possible to do like an "up for review" kind of thing? Where say someone who's not an admin/mod tags, it would require approval for it to actually tag? User posts with a 'tag' > Admin/Mod Reviews > Approves tag > Tag now exists kinda thing? Just came across this thread so Im not too sure if Im straying off topic or not but forgive me if i am...
    • Yes, a plan for non-action is always my first sort of plan! I'm happy to see what falls out of invision's update. I had been having some thoughts on what to do with this the other day and they all seem to have fled my memory, after various solar panel induced traumas, squeaking suspension sphericals, etc etc, over the last little bit. I'll try and recall what I had in mind and make sure that I put it into print in some form before the Alzheimer's strikes again.
    • The ability to have both a 5500 stall for launching, and a regular lockup for every other scenario is pretty sweet. Does it actually work well like that though in the real world? Would it hold up to track use and otherwise you'd never know you had a stall converter in it? If so, that's awesome
    • The thing is, once the content has been tagged we can chop and change the end result as much as we want. Its identifying the content in the first place that needs to be done regardless of the final outcome.
    • Sorry @GTSBoy I thought I'd replied here. There's a new BIG version of invision coming out soon, it might be worth waiting until that happens as it contains a lot of improved functionality for tags. My suggestion would be to add a top level page (not thread) with some info on it and then link to sub pages for various topics. We could even just start really simple with 2 or 3 pages underneath it. Those pages could just have a view (like a pre configured search result) of the tags we choose to put on it. We could have some background or an intro on each of these pages. My only issue is that while admins and mods can update the existing content to contain the tags we want, new posts can have whatever tags the author wants. That said, the reason our tags are so messy is because of that, so maybe we restrict tagging to admins/mods in edits.
