r32gtrpowa
Hey Guys, Anyone know if Kutsie can tune a Power FC D - Jetro in my 32 GTR ? Anyone down here used one of these in their cars yet? I am keen to get rid of my Airflows and hunt some more power I don't wanna take my car to melbourne just for a tune All help much appreciated Thanks Robert Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/164128-pfc-d-jetro/ Share on other sites
XRATED
yeah good like with that.... ba ha ha ha! Stick with a standard pfc unless your 800bhp + single drag machine. Otherwise it's not worth the f**k arsing around with. D-jetro is very tricky to tune dude. sav man
why not use AFM's? The D-Jetro isn't the best MAP sensor ECU out there (s**t to tune), if you realy want to go to a MAP sensor, i'd get an Autronic, or Haltec, and at that stage you've spent more than a PFC + bigger AFM's. r32gtrpowa
thanks guys everyone has said the same thing thanks very much for the imput! just thought it would be the way to go as more flow less restriction and less electronics to stuff up Anyone have any ideas how much it costs to tune when first bought, with bigger injectors and adjustable cam gears, just so i have an idea how much to budget? r32gtrpowa
Well yet to order the computer will be doing it over the next two weeks after the coilovers go in, I was under the impression the Airflow meters are going to be an ongoing problem with aftermarket turbo's and high boost levels and as everyone is aware they are not the kinda thing you wanna be replacing on a 6 monthly basis Maybe X - Rated should shed some light on how long this kind of thing lasts on a large power basis, did you or Sav Man ever have to replace these after buying new ones and running for a whilst with a PFC? Has anyone had a Haltec or Autronic ECU installed down here with success? I would hate to be the first one to be bitten in the arse just by trying something new! Have priced a Wolf V500 ($2350) err to expensive compared to what other companys are offering for lower prices Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/164128-pfc-d-jetro/#findComment-3053732 Share on other sites
sav man
I have had my Nismo AFM's for 2 years now, not 1 problems. one of my std AFM's died just after I got the car (due to age) that's why i went Nismo's. Our Targa car has 318rwkw, and has been raced all it's life, and it still has it's standard AFM's (and it runs a PFC), you just have to make sure your air filters are doing there job (and not over oiling them), and AFM's last for ages.
