such a waste to spend all that money when it will just get dirty anyway... and all that buffing out of paint imperfections to do with the depths of microns in paint is just ridiculous.. dudes an obsessive compulsive lunatic

After measuring all of the clear coat depths with his nifty computer thingy jiggy - he then goes to "correct it" using a hand held power polisher.

Maybe he also does telescope lense polishing in his spare time.

Looks nice finished, but I bet the owner has a real sore arse from getting shafted by the fee

Some people on here spend 10's of thousands of dollars on there cars.

But my motorbike will rip the shit out of almost every single one of them, stock, and with my 3 year factor warrenty in tact!

I personally would never go to that length for the paint on any car, i'd rather spend the money making it go faster, stop harder, and turn better, but he likes it so that all that matters.

My black car has some swirls Id like to get rid of.

a good detailer is worth there wieght in gold. give it a go your self just need some good cut and polish and some elbow grease. it's a skill that can be perfected in time. just don't take of too much paint.

I do, it's great with all the wankers in their cars, as they don't stand a chance in a drag at the lights.

Please note i only refer to people in cars as "wankers" if they try to drag a bike, people driving cars are fine by me otherwise.

Damian from Final Inspection recommends Dr Detail up here in Sydney.

I haven't seen any of Dr Detail's work, but I have seen Damian's and its top notch. The work he and Domino did on Domino's 350Z are amazing.

ive been running a car detailing shop for years and that was the most overboard shit ive ever seen :) . as for your black car i do at least one black car a day and every customer is stunned how good they come up. theres course compound then theres light polishing compund to use to remove swirls and all in between.

ive you need to buff a car hard you only need 2!!!!!! course with a hard sponge and apply pressure using a watermist to not clump compound then go over with foam polishing pad glaze and a waffle pad, repeat if necessary. steam clean then wet polish with a resin polish such as "autoglym resin" then a wax polish.

re apply a wax polish every couple of months then resin a month after. if you apply resin polish to often it will build up and create a glazey look

. look at me carrying on lol
