I just picked up series 2 wing i bought.

this is the plug connected to it.

It wouldnt be much londer then 15-20cm when i extend it which seems short...

Now i gathered this was the plug to the spoiler on my car now (series one)

but when i disconnect it, the light inside the boot goes off...

So im wondering how to connect the new spoilers wire to my car and whch plug is it?

Also when puttin the spoiler on, do u just bolt it on or use something to water proof it?

the spoiler has this foam/rubber piece that sits between it and the boot. It won't leak with this. If you're missing this, it's no biggy. Head down to clark rubber, trace it out, and make one. It'll be perfect. I've made one before - worked better than a 10 year old stock one.

About the wiring it's been a long time since i checked it, but - the wire from the spoiler joins some other wiring on the boot (i think) and then it goes through this grommet on the right hand side of the boot, and then there's a plug there.

Unbolt your stock spoiler (it'll have some clips holding it on too). From memory, you have to slide the spoiler to the back fo the boot for the clips to unhook (well it is on the sII anyways), then trace the spoiler wire and see where it goes, then change it.

Hey just like to say a big thanks to MANWHORE!

U were right about the plug. I ended up having to change clips round a bit but went on perfect and the light works which is good!

Now have a hotter looking Series 1.

(now to go wash it)
