Hey peolpe;.

I'm currently running a microtech LTX -12 and a MSD DIS 4 ingition set up.

My MSD had shit its self, so i bought a new one ready to plug in to the microtech, but apparently the new MSD is not compatible with the microtech and i have to get a driver and resistors to make it all work and it is costing around $1500 if i go that way.

The car makes around 330rwkw.

Now is there any other way i can go with out losing spark at the top end.

Or do i get

Splitfires

MSD coils

Microtech coils

Need help.

Why did you change to MSD in the first place?

Stock gear is good for around 350rwkw. So revert back to that.

If your having issues then, the coils are just old. So then just get a set of splitfire replacements as they are cheaper than new OEM Nissan coils.

Cheers

Do you know why the nsd isnt compatible, i cant see any reason. Do you know why the other one died?

The new MSD needs a driver and resistor as the microtech cant operate it on its own. The new ones have different settings (switches VS dials) to the old model.

No dont know why it died.
