Well it appears I have accumulated a bit of money in my bank Account again, so before the Mrs finds out I figure its best to spend it on the GTR :bunny:

Looking to replace my Standard suspension next.

Car has 400rwHP, Runs Semi RComp Tyres, Brembo F50 brakes, and Button clutch but everything else is standard.

Car is a toy, is used only for Track days, cruizes and maybe the odd show, so dont need / want anything to flash.

I've pretty much narrowed my choices to whats shown below, which is budget adjustable ride height Coilovers.

They all seem fairly similar in price and features so which do you guys reckon is the pick of the bunch, any that should be avoided, or are they all much of a muchness and should I just buy the ones with the brand name I prefer?

It all depends what you want to do with the car.But for all round you cant go past the tein stuff.

$1421 is a bloody good price for the super street.I havent seen them that cheap.

Care to PM me on where you get them for that price.

Stay away from the G4 and HSD.Those adjustments arnt entirely acurate,and its more like 7-10 points of adjustment rather than 36.

Also the spring rates are all over the place.

I quite like the HKS Hypermaxx II. Thye best car i have ever driven at teh track had them and Nismo adjustable arms. The car was brilliant to drive. Much better then my car.

On the street though it was a bit harsh...but on the track i quite liked it. And combined with that it seemed very quick and grippy as well

Is it infinite height adjustment you want?

I can arrange Eibach coils and Bilstein coil over conversion kits (add $900 to the Group Buy kit price)

If you want NON rattly spherical bearing tops I can arrange Noltec ones.

Or is a brand name thing?

your really after suspension,why wouldn't you look at top quality german engineered suspension with springs bushes designed for aussie conditions & at the right price, up to you mate of course, but i'm not the only one who is more than happy with sk's group buy....whatever way you go good luck & good driving

Speaking for myself, infinite height and a brand name is a major thing for me.. Out of interest, what does your group buy have on the likes of custom order Buddy clubs, or the likes?

I knew I would have to explain myself regarding this decision :banana:

Basically all it boils down to is I want a change, I know for a fact SK's Whiteline group buy will be a well sorted package, better infact than a set of Jap Coilovers.....because.....I have ran Whiteline springs, Swaybars, strutbraces etc with Koni Shocks in my last two Performance cars (SR20DET Bluebird & RB30ET R31 SVD GTSII Skyline).

Coming from a background of Engine swaps into Predominantly Aussie sold Jap cars I was always envious of the Jap import boys seemingly endless availabilty of Bolt in over the counter stuff, now I am one of those people I want to do the same :P

Personally, I think jap coilovers are fantastic, but only on the track and japanese roads. All the roads there are silky smooth. Even the suburbs. No potholes, nothing..Just nice smooth and flat roads.

I can vouch for the SK Bilstein + Whiteline kit. Have it installed in mine and really improved handling over my std struts + king springs.

Ive heard the HKS are possibly the hardest setup you can get and (common) Superstreet's being the cheapest. I like the look of the upside down Monoflex though..

lol, I was thinking the same thing. Having spent a fair bit of time driving in japan now it's definately not all billard table smooth. yeah in tokyo the main roads are nice, and even out of the city in satelite citys like chiba the roads are awesome, but spread out a bit, or get on the back roads and it's a different story, plenty of potholes etc, but they do seem to be quick to fix them around tokyo.
