Just wondering if removing this 2 stage thing is hard and how to do it. Is it even worth it cause ive been advised that having lower boost for launch would be better for traction. Lastly is removing this 2 stage boost control is it detrimental to the engine at all??

yeah search for it.....i did it myself.....in a nutshell you need to 1 wire and ground it.....very simple. cant imagine it will do any damage as you hit full boost after 4500rpm...and ppl run up to 12psi on stock turbo and even higher on stock internals....give it a go....at ur our risk of cousre!!!!

So for example when you get an EBC does the 2 stage still apply???

If you use an EBC, the standard 2 stage boost is no longer utilized.

The mod in the diy section is very easy and makes a bit of a difference. the car feels stronger and petrol consumption increases (in my car) by about 1 litre per 100ks.

yeh just do the mod easy as... altho it didn't work on my car :P If you remove the solenoid you'll only get low boost (5psi) unless you have a boost controller.. I'd say do the mod or just leave it and practice your launching. you might just be reving to high when you drop the clutch
