HI All,

I am wondering if anyone can help me out. I have recently installed a profec B and i am trying to set it up to run low boost 0.65bar and 0.85 for high boost. high boost is good as it gets to .85ish and holds very well. with the .65 it seems to shoot up to .75 then drop back below and then comes back to around .65. boost is all over the place. i have tried playing with the gain and it doesnt seem to fix it.

Can anyone help?

What have you got your boost settings set up at? Gain % and boost seeting....

Thanks!!!

Lower start boost (boost at which it starts opening the wastegate) and/or lower gain to get rid of spiking.

I have set at 55% and gain at 8% for 0.85bar (with start boost ~0.3-0.4bar to keep it from spiking on quick bursts) and it spools to full boost at 2500rpm and holds it flat until the stock turbo runs out of puff up high. For low boost, set on 5%, no gain, start boost 0 i think from memory, gets up to about 0.5bar and is good for everyday driving (no spiking at all).

Set your start boost to well below .65bar (eg. 0psi, doesn't really matter right now). Go for a drive and if your boost is all over the place once it hits .65 (at higher rpm) then increase the gain. You may have to lower/ increase the setgain to maintain .65bar. Once you get a stable boost, increase the start boost bit by bit until you get a bit of spike. Reduce the start boost a step or two until that spike is acceptable. This will give you the best response with stable boost.

You can set the start boost to really low and it will never spike but that means less response.
