the only real thing holding me back from this is the fact that I dont have decent tyres on 2 of my stockies...or race in my 19" heavy weights and hope the rears dont scrub....

i see if i can source some better tyres...the current fronts are too shit...if i can get some better tyres then ill go....i could try the toyos on the front but then i wouldnt get any power down and the back will slide....i will have a look...

well i think i have sourced 4 semi slicks....used, but still should be good....granted i can pick them up and there not in tasmania or something....

i will let you know how it goes...

should be interesting....wonder how i will go around a track...

should i go? i have whats known as "one stop then nothing brakes" when on rd, will it be better on the track with more airflow or will i just have a crap time. need advice. stock 33 gtst brakes with compliance pads still. how much of a difference will some nice ducting make

Corrine,

I want to support driving events. Without us they will not happen. I have no problem with $220.00 just I do not have a CAMS license yet. I will try to do it with Ian Luff Motivations but I need a day off work which is hard at the moment. If I will not be in that will be the only reason. Thank you again for the wonderful day on skid pan. Hopefully next time I will do better....

Cheers,

EUG.

If you are being correct in the brake assesment - you might want to do a bit of work first. Think pads before anything else as they will give you the best bang for the buck and are realtively cheap. Ducting only gives a margin improvement. Stopping on the track is very important - more so than going fast to begin with. If you have severe fade you'll only get a few laps in each session at best or spend time in the grass or wall at worst.

If you are for real you will crash your car for sure on the track. When was the last time you bled the brakes? They sound completely f**ked. You shouldn't even be driving it on the street.
