DRD-00F
the holders are yes... otherwise they are your ordinary car bulb... same thing you have in the cabin light... TramanBaba
the holders are yes... otherwise they are your ordinary car bulb... same thing you have in the cabin light... okay now i am confused.sorry, I thought parkers were the globes that turn on before you turn on the main headlight. The main headlight globes seem to be enclosed in a wedge shaped holder. and the high beam headlight globes somehow seem to be matching the stuff i got from supercheap. So in a bit of a muddle mate. Am attaching the H7's i got .. havent exchanged for the H1's yet., but let me know if these are for the high beam or for the normal headlights. Thanks Steven. DRD-00F
ok... here you have, on the left, an H4... kinda like an H7 but bigger... for older cars on the right is an H1... that is used for BOTH your high and low beams... you need 4 all up... top is the parker... you can see the globe and the holder... to get it out you have to get your hand on it, and twist the whole thing out... theres not much room so it kinda sucks... you only need the bulb part if you want to buy a new one... TramanBaba
thanks heaps for that steven, also am assuming that to take out the headlight globes i have to twist n take them out as I had a look, and that's how it seems they'll come out. ?? and also so both the normal beam globe and the parkers are in wedge shaped holders eh? only the high beam ones seem to be plugged in straight.. DRD-00F
no, only the parkers are at a right angle... the others do twist out, but they are straight on... theres a picture of one on and one off... with the one thats off, there is normally a metal holder in there where the globe goes in... Do they sound alright? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/H1-H3-H4-H7-9005-HB...1QQcmdZViewItem & http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MTEC-HID-XENON-COSM...1QQcmdZViewItem Normal or Xenon, which is the best? DRD-00F
First linky: You can get stuff like that at pretty much any car accesories store... autobahn etc... they can probably even order in some cool ones they dont bother to shelf for you but that guy seems alright, if you want those exact ones, they are baout the same price... just make sure you get the right type... second linky: Xenons dont fit into skyline headlights (most anyway) which is why HID's are around... but a lot of people here poo poo them cause its a very bright light, and not very well focused... a lot of people coming the other way wont like you very much... in the end, Xenons are 'the best' but i only know of one skyline that has them... and hes in the UK they are a super bright, super white light and the cut off is perfect... HID's are second, then your normal type bulbs... Thanks for that info! But if I was to go with the globes (white light look) would I need a set for the normal headlights & a set for the hi-beams aswell? I take it I need H1s yeah? DRD-00F
they were probably 'called' xenon... that is an actual Xenon gas discharge tube... if you get something that says H1, then it will fit... Thanks for that info! But if I was to go with the globes (white light look) would I need a set for the normal headlights & a set for the hi-beams aswell? I take it I need H1s yeah? you have 4 all up, all are H1's... when you flick your high beams on, one set turns off, the other turns on... the light is directed differently... you need to buy 4 to replace hi and low beams... oh ps, if you want a white look, get the most blue bulb you can... sorry for any confusion i might have caused...
