I've noticed there is a fair bit of engine management threads and discussions going on.

Just thought it might be an idea to start its own sub section to put all the engine management and tuning threads into it.

The forced induction section is currently being used quite a bit for this. But lets face it, engine management is a big enough topic on its own to have it's own section.

I feel the forced induction section is kind of getting overrun with engine management questions/topics, but that's just me.

Its just an idea I'm putting forward to you to improve the ease browsing the site. If it's not convenient or not really applicable at this time than I understand.

Thanks,

As the mod for the area, i dont feel thats the case personally. I would like to see it all stay as is.

I think its a good idea to keep it all under the relevant area. Like Turbo tuning info stays in FI, NA tuning in NA.

It would induce more confusion i feel if they were intermixed.

When you look at all the Mod/Main sectional areas, they are split into General areas, rather than specific.

Just my take on it being in there daily

Thats fair enough then. I respect your feelings on it. At the end of the day, it's not me that makes the decision, but rather it's for yourself and the administrators to discuss and make the decision.

It wouldn't really phase me if it happens or not.

Maybe we need more feedback on the matter. What does everyone else think of the idea?

i agree that there needs to be a section for things that cover more than one of the current ones. engine management, diagnostics, consult, engine sensors, piggybacks, and so on - no topic in any of these areas belongs in any specific forum, but most often they are created in the forced induction simply because its more popular, not because its the most appropriate place to create the thread.

the mechanical sides of things are covered well, and the na/turbo split works fine there, but not for the non-mechanical side of things.
