You wouldn't really save much money over 250rwkw as you basically 'should' pull the motor down and slap a set of forged pistons in there. So there goes the money you save from not having to open up the motor.

The only time I like the sound of the blow off valve is when it is kind of half open when doing a burnout and you are playing with the throttle.. :D

GFXman.. How is the power band in Jaffa's commodore? Does it bog down a little with lowish rev's?

I found with my VS that it was really quite gutless and did nothing below 3000rpm.

His car is quite good considering, however getting launches down is VERY hard. it breaks traction easily but can also bog down. Just a matter of getting it all just right. Same with any car i suppose. The power band is awesome though - torque at hand in any gear.

The supercars dont even use stock engines. They are barely falcons/commodores - the shell is about the only thing they use :D
