Im looking for pic's of gauges custom mounted in to a r33 dash, im getting around 5 gauges 60mm in diameter. Im thinking of putting them above the glove box in a row. If any one has pic's or idea's where to place them it would be great.

Cheers

Dave

Gauages everywhere (unless your a track racer) is a thing of the past... I think it looks rather lame to be honest... I got one Boost guage (high quality thta cost around $400.00) and that's it... one is enough... one looks tough... shows that you're all go and less show... if you have cross-rainbow colour gauages everywhere... to me, it looks like something from a cartoon... up to you though.... and yes, too many gauages will bring the cops onto you...

6 gauges!!! what are they?

boost

oil temp

oil pressure

air/fuel

volt meter

coolant temp (they are all in white face)

shift light

iv only got the boost and oil pressure so far, i might just place them in a row above my glove box and im getting the ash tray mounted gauge pod soon. the engine is getting a hks rebuild so i wana read the engine a bit more, look after her

its alright if you line them up so when everything is working right, all the needles are straight up, all in the same direction...

then you can glance over and see if anything is wrong...

IF you need that many...

ya im thinking of getting gauge pods made up to put them on a slight angle above the glove box and mould them in

then be prepared to replace your dash if you ever get defected .. that area is the crash zone .. needs to be padded

I suggest mounting them as close to your normal field of view when driving as possibe. That way you only have to take your eyes off the road for 1 second to check them, not turn your head etc.

These are mine - oil pres., oil temp and boost. The HC tells me everything else I need to know.

In adelaide its a bit diffrent, we just cant have them above the dash

It would have been easier to carbon or glass over the entire hole and cut some new holes to fit but I didn't want to do anything I couldn't undo easily.

Could have just bought another interior piece and done it though :(

Haha, one of those things you just dont think about...

Another idea, my mate drilled a slot into his dash (I know that makes no sense) and pushed his PFC controller into it, so its al eye level directly in front of his when he drifts. Another idea for you racers/drifters.
