i know with my intake pipe when we had it as short and all metal (gt3040 with q45afm) we had massive problems with the air reverberating back through thre afm and causeing major stall problems when backing off. So we had to put in a longer intake pipe to move the afm as far away from the turbo as possible. im sure with a stock turbo and afm you wouldnt get this as much but just dont make your intake pipe too short otherwise you could hit a few problems

Not larger afm.. Larger pipe that resides between the AFM and Turbo. :(

Help slow down the air a little.

I did the Coke can job, and it worked a treat. I also installed one of Bass Junkys silicon inlet pipes. I have had no driveability issues and i also notcied better pick up between gears. Perhaps less boost leak from standard BOV? I also cleaned the AAC valve which may have helped as i had idle hunting issues. All gone now. :)
