Just get used to it. How would you all react if you pulled up next a Porsche or Ferrari?

My point exactly....even tho id get smashed you will have a go....id love for a euro sports car to turn up to the drags to have a go....

let them beat you....esp if its the old beaten up lancer.....

i once had a ss commodore turbo that continually tried racing me, i wasnt having a bar of it so he would just slow down then scream up to me and have his faggy bov....now he was a tool

Nothing at all, cause we would get smoked anyway so... Its not people trying to race you but its the tail gating that annoys me

You got a gtr dude, with a bit of power you will blitz a porsche

Depends whats under your hood... Id get smoked.. u in ur GTR though... not sure?

Meh in the end its not worth giving someone the satisfaction weather its a commodore or a ferrari :P plus the risks you run bla bla bla But if it was at the strip it would be a different story :P it would be go time haha

i dunno, but normally i dont get hassled too much by people. although this past week theres been a few stooges you thought it be cool to sit there and rev up their v8s next to me.

im on the road a lot (drive my gtr for work) and rarely cop shit, when you got a dickhead next to ya, just think about loosing your licence, your car and/or your life. (in that order of importance :P )

with a name like spin psycle it implies you dont mind a burn out or two.

dude i want people to race but that's what tracks and drag strips are for, i mean sure i've had a couple of runs on the street

who hasnt, with other skyline owners of course but thats just for shits and giggles and theres respect at the end not like other car drivers who wanna prove how good they are and when you flog them they continue to accelerate to like 140 past you....tossers.

i looooooovvvvveeeee a good burn out oohhh yer!!!

Tailgating really burns my piss as well 95sky especially people in forbys with bullbars who try and intimidate you, thats when

you take your foot off the accelerator and coast to like 40 haha.

Yeh hahaha or. this happened to me ages ago was heading to a friends place and this 60 series cruiser was sitting rite up my tail it was in a 60k zone so it decided to zip around the corner at about 40k was a fairly sharp corner( was a current 60 series cruiser owner at the time so i knew they were not a handling machine) anyway he tried to do it the same speed as me and ended up running of the road into the bush. he would of learnt his lesson i think :P stupid.. and he wasnt not a young guy either thats the scary thing.

I use to think skylines were all special. Luved my r33gts25 though they are just not that fast off the lights.

Would never go back to one after a rex.

Simply racing a wrx off at the lights is suicide for a skyline (gtr not included) and would not recommend it to all of you :P

Its all fun and games till a WRX breaks first gear from a decent launch :nyaanyaa:

Seriously though... why street race? Are your penis's really that small?

    • I am currently going this route. I am curious how much horse power you put behind the cut bell housing? Collins was telling me I am going to crack it and bluh bluh bluh. Because I didn’t buy the custom fly wheel from him. I am looking for somewhere around like 500 hp
    • Forgot to mention that these are the before pics when I first got it!
    • Thanks @PranK for the updated member status, much appreciated! 👍🏼 Now, about those pics… Unfortunately I could only find ones that I took in the dark. I was soon to discover that underneath it wasn’t in the best shape, but it was mine and that’s all I cared about at the time 😆
    • Oh, and only having done this task yesterday, I've now driven the car ~60km since, and while it is hard to avoid placebo effect and confirmation bias, I reckon that some annoyances I had with the way the car has been behaving have improved. Which....kinda makes sense, I guess. If the bushes were really stiff and resisting rotation, they would have been contributing to the effective wheel rate. And if it was more so on one side (which it was, because one side was worse than the other) then.... you might imagine that the additional rate would be asymmetric, and potentially even different between compression and rebound. And so... the car has been twitchy at higher speeds - like freeway on ramps. It really shouldn't be. The wheel alignment is good and there are no (other) known problems elsewhere in the suspension. But at 90-100 on a long sweeping ramp, tiny steering wheel motions would make it feel like it wanted to rear steer. Quite nervous. At lower speeds it would heave about in a manner that it didn't use to. Didn't want to put power down, etc etc. Now...seems to behave better. Am going to have to concentrate on the various corners where it has exhibited weirdness, on the rare occasions when I can get a decent run at them without Methanial getting in the way in his D-Max/Ranger/LDV Van/etc.
