Boost Max

Hey i no this question has been asked a million times but i am kinda in the middle of it now and have look tho the posts trying to find what is my max boost 4 my r33 GTST all its got is an ehaust intercooler i have a boost controller but i dont no what to set it to or what else i need to do? please help

Without an ecu to add more fuel 10psi is all, when you have ecu 12-13psi on stock turbo.

ok i have tired it but i can only seen to get to 0.5 bar on my boost gauge, all it does its like miss fire? can some1 tell me where i have gone wrong

which boost gauge? the standard one is in mmhg, and 7 is a bar, or 14.7 PSI

misfire could be due to plugs,( i changed mine and felt a smoother top end.) coils. also what kind of boost controller???

an aftermarket one its in bar n i no 1 bar is 14.7 so 0.5 would be 7.35, so my car is only boosting at 7

well its not really missing it just feels like it, i just have one of those turbo smart boost controllers that iv put on my vac line n turn it 4 more, i no its on the rite line aswel cause i found that post in the fourm?

have you bypassed the standard solinoid?

im prob gonna go with the massive 1.1mm plug gap uve got.. presuming they are recommended specs.

either plugs need gapping or, your running more than .5bar

This as you can probably appreciate is a very very common question.

Also mis-firing etc etc, its all been covered at great length and members have taken time to post up some quite detailed information on it all.

Also have a read of the sticky threads, they contain lots of links also.
