Nth
Hi, a few of you would have seen my threads about buying a skyline. This is my situation i just got accepted into tafe at homesglen chadstone ( if anyone from here goes there PM me). For over 3 months i have been searching for a skyline at one stage it was a black 93 then a white 93 then a gunmetal 93, this is going on for over 3 months now. After all of it i decided that i want a white one. If to say i buy my 32 for around 12k i have to add my insurance and that will be close to 3k, my insurance will be as much as your average p plater car. I am thinking of getting a car for around 3-4k then i'll go for fire and theft for my insurance. When I look at it this way i can keep the money i have now for a 33 or somthing in the future and my insurance will be less and i will have a quicker car and all the power to weight bullshit wont apply to me. What are your thoughts? Edited April 19, 2007 by Nth Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/165256-me-agian/ Share on other sites
tek_01
if you are on restrictions than definately dont get anything your not legally allowed to drive, it will be headaches if you get caught. Yes to buying a cheap car and saving as much as you can for a better one down the track when it would be more feasible to get one. bloody skylines.... money pit! Betz
grab a clean suzuki swift GTi and hold out a little while for the skyline, they are not cheap to insure and maintain especially for young drivers. you will have plenty of fun in the GTi aswel cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/165256-me-agian/#findComment-3061523 Share on other sites

Trust33
100 kw corrolla.Or get a rolla with a NA 20v 4agze.with pod,put a nice wide cold air induction up to it.extractors and exhaust and HD clutch.make sure the box isnt slushy and the cv's arnt clunkey.Do a u turn on full lock turning both sides if it has a clunk/clicking noise, then the cv's need replacing ie:more money.and a fully sic system FTW... Had a swift gti.Done that.If youve owned somthing like a datto or gemini 4cyl.Then you will appreciate the swifts power all of 63kw.Their not power steer tho.and their cv's,like most if not all 4cyl fwd cars of that era,are up to shit inc stock clutch etc...Word of warning.dont dump it everywhere you go.those little gearboxes aint cheap.4.5 yrs ago i paid $900 for a reco box and $250 for a hd clutch not installed.
