Help Me! Can't Get Boot Open

Hey guys,

i need some advise/know how on how to get the boot open on my r33.

The lever in the car doesnt work and the key wont turn the lock. how do I get it open because there is stuff in there i need.

does the key turn at all? sounds like the latch or barrel is stuffed.

might have to get a lock smith and a new latch & barrel.

This happened to mine....there is a latch next to the boot lock that disables the cable release....christ alone knows why.....bumped mine while putting the sub in and the bloody thing wouldnt open with the key.

My solution was pull the back seat out and theres a (small) access panel, got a mate with long arms and a long pair of pliers to move the switch and it opened with the lever.

Unless your cables broken......then your rooted.

hey, mine has done teh same thing, cept it opens with the key, and when open, i got a mate to pull the elver, and the lock moves.... so i thinking maybe the gas struts are going and the boot is just to heavy and it locks itself?

if anyone can suggest any other opinions please pm me, its driving me insane.

Just rebuilt engine with an oil leak? what sort of gumby put your engine together? Was he aussie? he should stay with his holdens and fords.

I am going to add a solenoid acttuator to my boot release system so that i have key, cable, and electric. So hopefully no probs in the future.
