Weird Part Throttle Cruising Condition.

Hey guys

My pulsar seems to be a little 'surgey' in most gears if you try and run with light throttle openings between 2000-3500rpm- i can only describe it as like gently getting on and off the gas, 'cept the throttle position doesn't change.

It pulls cleanly if you floor the throttle (even in high gears from low revs), and has no trouble revving out to redline with ur foot flat. I changed the spark plugs and air filter today, and the dizzy and leads should be fine given it's smoothness when revving out.

Before i take it to Ultratune or somesuch, any one ever had a similar problem? I'm thinking it's got something to do with the TPS or A/F meter.

i had the same problem with my skyline and that what it was , how old is this pulsar

Yeah i would go a dirty 02 sensor as u are cruising the sensor give wrong info causing a lean mixture , it could also be a bad connection in the signal system ie A/F meters, CAS, ignition signal, TPS or bad fuel

I'll try the O2 sensor, and replace the petrol filter

the engine (GA16 actually, soz) doesn't have a CAS- it uses an electronic dizzy

a bad fuel filter would give the surgey feel as u gun it not when u are cruising (i change that to at first)
