Hicas Lock Without Lock Bar

Has anyone on here locked thier hicas with washers/sleeves etc & if so what measurements were the washer/sleeves & exactly how do you fit them.

Obviously you sit have to loop the fluid lines.

I made up some washers from 4mm plate steel and chucked them in on the ends of the rack. Left everything else plugged in and drove around like that for about 3 years with no problem (well no problem once it was realigned anyway).

I only got around to removing all the lines and solenoids and doing the loop to the PS cooler a couple of months ago.

Remove the rear tie rod ends and boots from the HICAS bar, get a mig welder and weld the part of the HICAS bar which adjusts itself to the body of the bar and your done. Much more simplier, takes less time and is much more effective
