make sure its got spark first up, it couldve had water and now uve cleaned it out, however being so overfuely it wont fire cause plugs are fowled, jst a thought.

plugged your AFM back up?

A multimeter is your best friend.

check that the afm is sending a signal also.

just to shed a little further light. Car was starting before, but missing like a dog, with plenty of smoke. But now just cranks, but wont spring into life......

did u knock the afm around at all during the build. it could be suffering from dry cracking ill see if i can find u the link to do the repair. i knocked mine around once during some work and the same thing was happening, car starts, then doesnt, and if it does runs like crap.

Cheers Daniel, but i installed a brand new z32 while i was rebuilding so i don't think that's the issue.

could even be the battery... try jump-starting it... and check for any loose cables...

ok just an update, brought some new plugs so i could hopefully get it in to my mechanics to have this fuel removed from the map. when i took out the old plugs all except the closest one to the firewall was fouled. it looked like it hadnt been firing, what to do now....i'd like to get a multi on that injector, but it's such a bastard....

cheers for all your help. It ended up being a loose wire on the pfc. (AFM earth wire)
