Eug, my car has the twin-cam raspyness you speak of, it's not very loud or noticeable, but I can tell it's there.

Scott, so did everything line up ok? hangers, etc?

What was the part no. again please?

would be keen to see if this system gets rid of the raspy'ness...

i dont mind the sound under full throttle, as it has the typical M3 type scream - however giving it 20% throttle as it reaches that *point* just makes the car sound sick as a dog.

Now I've put a couple of km's on the car the exhaust note has changed quite a bit ! I don't actually know how to describe it.

Reggi, you might want to hold off until I can get a sound file for you.

With that said, I'm in love with the sound ! , but it may not be loud enough for those that want more attention.

Seat of the pants, well I never expected a miracle so I'm not dissappionted. You know there's a smidge more power & torque there, but it's not enough to change your heart beat. :) What you "can" instantly feel is the engine's ability to breathe !! Hard to explain but you know you've done a good thing removing the restrictive system >_<

I'll wait for that sound file Scott.

Also I got a reply back from Nengun this morning re: why they've discontinued listing the Fujitsubo exhuast for ER34

Hi Reggie,

Thanks for your enquiry, unfortuantely this exhaust is too long to ship using our standard shipping methods so we are not able to offer this product for sale. Apologies for any inconvenience and for the delayed response.

Thanks

It's almost as though they're shipping the cat-back as one piece. Pretty weak I think.

Lucky I didn't go ahead and buy one, I would've been $960-odd out of pocket with no exhaust.

Will be contacting Greenline now to see if they can help me out.

I haven't forgotten the sound file but just not got the chance yet. Will do it soon ( will only be a stationary rev & idle for now tho ).

I'm going out on a limb here but, and I'm going to say that this system is too quiet for you guys. At it's best it sounds like an stock M3. It's great for stealth but if you wanna get some looks the sound ain't gonna do it for you. For you guys who want some noise, you should prol wait until Kakimoto release the "Regu" for the N/A 4 doors ( ask Steve @ Just Jap when these will be available ).

Oh and there's one downside to Stainless Steel systems, the retain heaps more heat than mild steel. Went under the car for 2 secs the other day to check all was OK. Reached up to give the rubber hanger's a wiggle and arm touched rear muffler. Instant **SIZZLE** ;)

EDIT.

Keep in mind when you're listening to it that the car's in the garage so it sounds a bit louder than on the street. I had some tunes playing at the time at a pretty low vol so that should give some perspective.

Here's the file reduced ( to 400KB :P )

Exhaust_Sample.wmv

hmmm, a sound file out in the street would be better, I think, as the exhaust note is bouncing off the walls in the garage.

As it sounds there, it doesn't sound anything like I thought it would. Thanks Scott.

I'll get onto it soon but yeah, the sound is like nothing else I've ever heard. And the strange thing is that the sound changes depending on the exhaust temperature. From cold, to cool operating temp, to heat soaked, to really hot, it sounds a bit different at each stage. :P Even still, I like it :worship:
