my headlights are all dirty inside, just wondering if there is a way cleaning them/opening them up?

Also is it possible to get the front cover remoulded or something to get rid of all the scratches so its all nice and clear?

Anyone got the same problem?

if they are yellow then just use a car wax of some sort doesnt really matter which one and makes a huge difference. half the stuff you think that is inside the headlight comes up with a bit of elbow grease.

there are other threads on this somewhere around SAU

no its not the yellow stuff on the outside, its like moisture or some dust/dirt on the inside of it.

I bumped into another line owner in the BP station on Canterbury Rd near Canterbury, he told me to use colgate tooth paste! yes Colgate toothpaste, and it worked! its alot more clear now, give it try!

Do you clean the headlights from the outside with that toothpaste ?

Im asking how to clean them from the inside...

i used a light cut and polish (supposed to be for paint) but worked a charm... for the outside crapness that comes and goes...

to get to the inside, you gotta heat the oven to 150, chuck em in, turn the oven OFF, wait 15 mins, take out, then pull apart... use tools cause that shit will be hot... and use tools you dont care about cause you will get black sticky shit all over your tools...

getting them back together though, i dunno, you may have to buy some new sticky shit...

they should be pretty well sealed though... if you got crap on the inside, i suggest you find out how it got in there and fix that too...
