vn coils need about 4.4 some mitzubshi need 6ms..

Never seen a mitsubishi coil gain any spark energy over 4ms, at 6ms they overheat at idle and dont have enough spark time at high rpm, remember at 8000rpm on a wasted spark ignition system, there is only 7.5ms between sparks

adriano by cheaking coil temp. are you sayin it must be a specific temp? or just make sure its not glowing? sounds stupid but just makin sure, my understanding is make sure its not on the verge of melting.

Yep, if it feels hot, anything too hot to hald your hand on, and its too hot

haha just like in the oe car. lol.

hrmmm thats why my nice neat mitsu gto coil pack dunt work very well with my 500r cdi. lol

but my chunky mazda s4 leading coils are the shissel. massive spark. just containing them in the leads is the hard bit.
