The issue might be the angle or exact positioning of the bracket that mounts to the rear of the gearbox. My CES pipe has a different but relevant issue that comes from how it lines up with that mounting point. Basically being slightly off there gets carried down the line.

I suspect you will be able to make up an adapter out of a small piece of aluminium that will work to bring the whole thing own a little. There is a little flex in the whole thing so dont worry if you have to pull it down to get it to mount differently. For example, there are two holes so instead of lining up both you could line up the bottom gearbox mount hole with the top exhaust bracket hole and try that for starters.

thanks abo...... i fixed it today, it was hitting on the bracket bolted to the floor pan to stop the tailshaft hitting the ground in the event of failure, so i took the bracket off and elongated the holes and bolted it back up so it sits slightly higher now..... no noises at all anymore yay!!!

30 mins i find that hard to beleive....... anyways i got under the car this arvo and its not hitting up the front it is further down near the tailshaft centre bearing, its hitting the bracket that sits on top of the exhaust and under the tailshaft centre bearing. maybe pics would explain better. Any ideas on a fix????

No joke Ben :D Grey Imports fitted it up for me.

You do need to be weary when fitting any front pipe that when you are removing sections of the exhaust its possible to shift the rest of the system in the process which can result in the problems you have had.

As others pointed out its usually a case of trial and error and hanger/mount adjustment where applicable to get it spot on :D

Nick

hey blitz just out of curiosity what differences did u notice after having yours fitted???

Well, I had a hole in my original factory front pipe which sounded terrible, but once we fitted the new JJR pipe up the car generally sounds a whole lot smoother, with a nicer exhaust note and it seems to drive nicer also.
