Bl4cK32
on second inspection they cant touch ya for anything else not seen first time round Yes, but whats the point of having defectable items, that can be picked on as soon as you leave the door? If the ic piping is illegal, then fix it, and stay out of regency for good. Iv never hade to go to regency so might be stupid But do they take ride hight from the lowest part of the car or from center of wheel to wheel arch? Its not both. 100mm minimun clearance to the ground for the lowest point of the car, and then there is a set height from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch. There is also an eye brow height as well it think. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/166195-defect-cleared/page/2/#findComment-3083502 Share on other sites

cruzin33
Is a frount facing plenum a defect,a engine dampner and do i need the heat sheild on near the turbo iv searched and keep finding all diffrent answers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/166195-defect-cleared/page/2/#findComment-3083825 Share on other sites
Cubes
Its very wise to keep the heat shield on the turbo. Radiant heat is a killer for your heater hoses. Should they spring a pin prick leak (as Troy's found out the hard way) glycol sprayed in a fine mist is highly flammable. As for the front facing plenum... It alters emissions as the inlet is essentially used by car manufactures to tune a motors torque at various rpm. So yes it is defectable. cruzin33
say if i go the rb25/30 conversion will the bottom end be ok as it has rb30 stamped on it? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/166195-defect-cleared/page/2/#findComment-3083970 Share on other sites
Cubes
The rb30 is illegal in the skyline unless you have it emissions tested and an engineer looks over it and states it meets ADR's. I guess it would only make your own life easier to replace stuff after! Bl4cK32
Some will say no, but it depends if anything is blatently an obvious defect...and the person who is doing it.
