Stupid Question 101

after driving my car for 20 mins or so the transmission heats up ALOT so much that it heats up the whole car, it heats through to around the foot rest area. After a while i have to put the windows down.

its a 97 r33 auto NA

is this normal? if not what could be wrong or how could i try and fix it?

how's your fluid?

Change your trans fluid. If this doesnt fix it, make sure there isnt a blockage in your trans cooler lines.

i have checked the fluid and everything is fine, i think?

im not very good with cars so i dont know how to check if the lines are blocked

Its time to change Trans fluid filter... you might need to change the fluid as well
