He came... I saw... Sillbeer kicked ass!

Didn't see you at the stand when I wandered past but had a good look at what my monitor has been teasing me with... great to see it in real life and a well deserved trophy winner.

Definately needs to be displayed on stands with the good old mirror squares underneith to show off the detail you have gone to with the running gear.

I hope all goes well for the tune and run in.

Here's a snippet from the spec sheet at the show...sort of explains a few things of why:

  Quote
This Silvia is the culmination of a three year build project by its owner Brendan Underwood...taking what was originally just a shell to what you see before you.

The build philosophy was that of a factory special in the spirit of cars like Nismo’s Z-Tune...the result is the Nissan Silvia specB. A car that has a place on the track, but is also comfortable on the street without over doing it with unwarranted decorative schmultz. This is the reason for keeping the Nissan Aero body kit, but giving it more ‘body’ with the use of the Wise Sports wide body guards.

The car has been built to perform, with the engine and suspension components chosen for reliability on the track and the open road. And for those wondering whether this will be a drift weapon, the answer is no. This will be purely a grip driving vehicle with intentions of regular motorkhana and circuit outings.

bloody hell brendan - its looking good

what the plan - keep this as a weekender car??? or a daily (shock horror!!!)

you looking at entering it in a few car shows and stuff?? (at least a magazine issue fo sure...)

Weekend and daily, yes. I ride to work on my pushy 50% of the time, so it works out as both. I'll be doing a bit of track work for sure, maybe enter the WA sprint champs out at AHG next year to give Mike Joss in his S13 a bit of support. And yeah, I've already been collared for a mag shoot here and there.

Cheers

Brendan

    • Curious to why you're not getting Jesse to do the exhaust, seeing that he has just done 2 GTRs with Aes valves.
    • What extra parts are you thinking you'll need to run e85 compared to e30?
    • I'm not aware of e30 in Australia, but I'm pretty sure e85 is still around. You really want a setup with an ethanol sensor so you can run any mix of ethanol depending on what you can access. Fuel Check NSW app shows 14 site in sydney metro with e85. What are you adding, will you put in bigger turbs too? Apparently the wastegates are pretty small and can't bypass enough as you run more boost.  I'm sticking to 1.3 bar with 98 on the standard turbos with my tune on advice from the tuner, and boost drops significantly in the top end; apparently larger turbos with larger wastegates are needed to get anywhere meaningful from there.
    • Amazing work Duncan! It is never easy to pick up someone elses project and work all the parts out that are missing
    • Hey Ppl,   I am about to tuned my Infiniti Q60 with E-85 and if you can tell me some location where I can top up my car that would be great.   But my other question, is E-30 available because this tuned requires less mods parts and any info you can offer would be greatly appreciated too!!
