Air Flow Meters

One or both of my AFM's are shot so I've been looking around for replacements. Everyone seems to have Z32s but I'm not keen to get a new ECU to support them at this point. I called Lincorp to check out nissan replacements but they quoted me $620 each which seems really steep given you can buy the Z32s for $300 give or take. Anyone have ideas on where I could pick some up at a more reasonable cost? Would I be asking for trouble buying used ones from someone looking to upgrade?

secondly how much do air flow meters for rb25det costs?

have you checked whether to see if it is just the contacts inside that are broken? they can be re-soldered.

yes AFMs can be cleaned out

Take the AFM out and run a 50.50 mix of kero and metho through it a few times back and forth and youll notice all the oil come out the other end

Tim, you would be best looking around for another good used set of factory RB26 AFM's, or take the plunge and snap up a Power FC to run Z32's

Clean it yourself. resolder the internals.

If yours still stuffs up check for second hand WORKABLE AFMs... I bought one last year for 100 bucks...
