Hi Sherwin

Just wanted to let you know that i fit the lock bar last night, the whole process took about 30 mins and it solved the problem, it feels like im driving a new car.

Highly recommend this product to anyone experience hicas problems.

thanks

Jaron

Just to update all who are interested..

Hydraulic Blocking kits are on the way :D

I have decided to get 2 types made up..

Type 1 will be the "standard" blocking kit which blocks off the lines at the rear of the car..

Type 2 will the the blocking kit which basically blocks the reserviour and the rear outlet of the pump, allowing you to remove the complete HICAS system :3some:

Also an update on Lockbars..

More R32/S13/A31 Hicas Lockbars are in the process of being made

There are 5 x R33/R34 Hicas Lockbars still available and more are being made with the Type A's

Sherwin

Hi Aaron,

My appologies

I have you on my paperwork as an R32 Lockbar, and I see that in the list I have you as an R33, I will fix this up right now >_<

The Blocking kits are;

Type 1 - Hydraulic Nuts and Bungs

Type 2 - Blocking Pipes, Copper washers, etc.

Instructions will be included in both kits :O

Hi Everyone,

I just had my shocks/springs and a few bushes replaced and also all the hicas items pulled from my car and

replaced with Sherwin's Lockbar(which fits perfect).

Every other suspension place i went to would only fit the lock bar and rip the hicas wires.

Wholesale suspension on Third Ave At Blacktown NSW will fit Sherwin's Lockbar and remove all hicas

related items along with it for a very reasonable price.

Aaron

by the way my car feels like a go-kart now,its awesome!!!

i took some round-a-bouts and couldnt feel the crazy hicas at all,but did encounter some scrubbage which

will be fixed asap.

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for the update..

I am sure there are a few people near you who would be interested in that information

Oh by the way, if anyone else from the other states, etc. have any other workshops they can recommend to fit these, please be my guest to post them up in here for other members to see :)

Regards,

Sherwin

    • Thanks mate 👍 The car was brought into the UK by a USAF mechanic until he was stationed back to the US, one owner later I bought her back in 2009. Luckily the only corrosion was on the sill seams, so once taken back to metal and treated and sealed all ok, I then undersealed the car myself and check yearly and treat any corrosion which to be honest is zero. She's garaged most of the time and hardly ever driven in the rain, but as you say most are rotten unfortunately, I was lucky in finding her as she was and still is in excellent condition.
    • Stunning car.  Looks amazing!  You're in the UK?  How the hell do you stop your car rotting away beneath you?  British cars are the WORST I've ever seen in regards to rust.  Some of the cars SR Autobody have done are borderbeyond saving.
    • not a date code? or a foundry code?
    • I have up to date pics of the engine build and turbo conversion over on my instagram @skpro_jects if you want to take a deeper look.   Basically the exhaust manifold is straight bolt on and the ports match (they arent any smaller than a 25 or 26 head).    the intake ports are different shape so the 20/25det manifold will bolt up but wont match properly or seal. You will need to port match using the 25det gasket as a stencil. Personally i ran the entire stock 20neo intake setup and have configured the swirl valves and torque valve to work based on my custom parameters to help with off boost response and spool. But this is using a standalone aem v2 ecu. The stock 20det ecu wont be able to control them.
    • Hi. a little later but if the topic is here. So...the exhaust is the same and you can use 25/Turbo or any aftermarket? What about intake side? Is it too "plug n play" or? (i do not remember for 100% but i think that one intake to head gasket was little bit different than on the RB25 - i bought gasket kit way back) I know that even if it "plug" those butterfly swirls would cause ECU to be confused or?   Just asking for the info 🙂 and of course the RB25 things are easier to come by
