you can actually get the genuine item from nissan,

but they dont fit a gtst (they obviously dont have flared guards)

so i think a body kit shop would have to be contacted.

Or keep a close eye on the classifieds and wait till one pops up, and they usually do

it just doesnt stick around for that long!!

Ive actually got a genuine R32 GTR N1 bumper n lip on my GTST and the gap between the bumper n fender is bout 1.5cm...which isnt too bad...i just pushed it in bolted it in n then cable tied it...ill get some pics up soon as my car is gettin a bit of work done to it mechanically so the front bar is off atm

So the front quarter panels on a Gtr a wider then a gtst as well? I only thought GTR rear guards were wider

Yep...the GTR front fender is wider...as well as the rear...but u can pick up GTR front fender off ppl on this forum...i seen ones for around $400 each side...ull also need the front grill and also the GTR bonnet whether be modded GTST bonnet or genuine (light as) and ull also need to either mod the existing bonnet latch or go GTR item

Master bo bo - that's great, thanks. My last fibreglass bar didn't fit up too well anyhow (maybe a .5 to 1 cm gap)!

Yes, both the front and rear guards are pumped on a GTR (or slimmed on a GTS depends on your perspective!). FYI the front guards on a GTR are aluminium as well making them lighter - though the GTS guards are not 'heavy'.

i wanted to convert the front guards on my car to GTR items but they seem sooo expensive and i also need to respray them..so it seems like a waste of money..n i think i wud be too try hardish to do it..but thats just IMO...looks good tho

mmmm....... all very helpfull. seems like it could cost alot of money to have GTR front bar. Is there places that make aftermarket GTR front bars that will fit on GTST? Does anyone else know anywhere that may sell something like this?

Are you still able to post up pics as i have a genuine N1 bar at home and i havn't tried fitting it yet.

Here's photos of my shitter with genuine GTR bar. You also need to cut the reo or get a GTR reo to fit the bar as the "mouth" is much bigger than the GTS-t bar.

I can take some better ones if people want. They're not too hard to fit though, so if you've got one lying around, throw it on :)

So is there any gaps at each side that other people speak of when having a gtr front bar on gtst without gtr bonnet and guards?? what the reo you speak of?? i guess some better pics wouldnt hurt if you dont mind

also can you have a gtr bonnet, grill and front bar and still keep the gtst side skirts. i just had a look on car sales and there is alot a gtst skylines with gtr bonnet, grill and front bars but they never mention bout having gtr front guards

The reo is the reinforcement bar behind the front bar. What gaps are you talking about? There aren't really any on there now that strike me as obvious.

Bonnet and grill have nothing to do with the sideskirts... If you get GTR guards, you need GTR indicators too GTS-t indicators dont line up with the GTR guards. With the bonnet you also need the GTR bonnet catch as the latch is in a different spot on the bonnet.

Will try and get some better pics tomorrow. Any particular angles you want?

Well thats a shit load better than the copy one i had!

Plus i have the grill and the GTR bonnet to so i think im gonna be happy!

All the fibreglass copies I've seen have been crap. They're made to suit GTS-t, but dont fit! What's the point of having the copy then!?

Cant go wrong with genuine :worship:

If you dont want the GTR bonnet and grill and want to let them go real cheap, let me know :P

The gap i was talking bout was that someone mentioned earlier in the thread about there gtr front bar having gaps when fitted to there gtst. Yeah about them side skirts...... i dont even know why i wrote side skirts..... too long at work i think, anyway, what i want to know is if you can have gtr bonnet, grill and front bar on gtst and not have to swap to gtr front guards as well???

Yes, nothing wrong with that, will work. Bar will just look like it does on my car (not perfect fit).

There was a gap on my drivers side between the guard and the top of the bar, about 20mm. Fixed it by using a bolt with some big washers instead of cable ties. Has pulled the whole bar up nicely so no unsightly gaps there

Everywhere else is just held on by cable ties... Bit lazy, haha

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365.
