Car Console Matte Finish Scratched Off

Anyone know what kind of product I can buy to restore the matte finish on the R33 skyline dash/console? I've scratched the matte finish accidentally and it's all glossy underneath. Anything I can do? I'm talking about the matte finish of the console which holds the deck, climate control unit, etc.

P.S. I know I'm fussy.

IMO sand, spray with filler/primer, and re-spray the colour out of a spray can
