yes way too much........i paid 500 for my kit to be painted, front bar, side skirts and rear pods. was goin to charge 400 to fit it, but i fitted myself.

so you were up for $900 painted and fitted?

mine is not even a full kit...

anyone know any good places in melbourne to get the job done?

cheers

yeah do it yourself.

I've just started sanding my 400r side skirts today

started off with the 180 grade then 400 then 800

noticed some imperfections that are too deep to sand off

do I just need to use the standard fillers for wall cracks or

is there a better way to do it? any suggestions would be appreciated :P

standard filler is alright.. just do it neatly or you gonna be tired sanding it smooth again..lol

everything is relative, i have never seen a paint and fit that i would accept under $1000..... and sydney examples tend to be the worst... tek screws and shit used to hold it alll on... riv-nuts or nothing in my books.

are you talking about the filler for - plaster walls .. in a house?

dont use that. use a proper auto body filler (bog)

For small scratches less than 2mm deep there is a ready made auto filler from autoone etc that is for use on small imperfections and is really really easy to sand .. its bright red in the tin and no mixing required.

then if you are not using a 2 pac primer to coat the entire piece (which will need to be done before painting) then you can use a can spray primer filler to get the shape spot on before the primer coats are applied.
