hahaha exactly what i said to him!!!

warwick, where you at... i can show you how to do burnouts. i'm good at that

picsorban...

serious: Nice work on the times to the people above.

Col: I was joking about brakes...I know how fast the exit comes up when you pass the line at 120+mph....I thought I was going to miss it a few times *with slotted rotors and race pads*.

r33_racer: Sif not come drag racing, it's probably not AS much fun as circuit but it still takes skill to get a car off the line and achieve a decent 60. Might be harder than you and your 13yo brother think.

Because GTR's are boring and less fun to launch, plus why start with two turbo's when everyone knows big singles or big twins are the only way. Either option means motor gets stripped, redone and little is left standard...meh gtst ftw  (let the debate begin)

big power can still be had on std mount turbo's, i reckon i'll be able to prove that point pretty well

michael, i'll be there sometime this year running round the track chasing ur rear, but i still want to run a 10

1 question noel.. why didnt you start out with a GTR instead ? seems that the amount of money your throwing into it means that the price cant have been the concern ?

Price was most definitely a concern strik. There is no way i could have bought a gtr for more than double what i paid for the st.

I wouldnt buy a 32 simply because I am not a fan of the shape. Even the 34 reminds of an updated 32 in many respects. It had to be a 33 or nothing. Take the buy price of a 33 gtr and then start modding and you need a far fatter budget than anything i could dream of.

The other reason is simple. I love rwd cars. Obviously there are benefits to awd but a well sorted rwd can hold its own in drag and sprint situs.

As i have said before, i am not wealthy, Just a workin man like most on here. the update wont be ready for some time owing to lack of funds to complete it. It can only happen as I can afford it. It will be worth waiting for tho.

remember mark, 6000rpm and DUMP :teehee:

missed me shaney poo...

7500rpm and dump... IMHO

i still can rev 2500rpm higher than that... :P

we are talking about markimak here you know

.... BITCH.. i could say something like at least mine drives lol

If I owned a gtr thats excactly how i would launch it. Full noise and sidestep the clutch.

Yo Marki. Bout time you got you and that gtr out for a bash. Cya there. :(

yes about time.. i wanna see 12s before i get my R34 GTT.. cause ill be seeing 14s in that :(

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
