i am sick of readin crap talk and people going on about using rb20 heads, what do i need for 300hp and just people bumping posts to make themselves look good

i cant seach the post on its own for info on specialist modifactations..

downloading word version (so i can seach) only does 1st 15 pages or upto 22jun03 that leaves 90% hidden

and readin the post.. takes far too long and only has 1 or 2 relevant things on each full page.. the rest is people asking stupid questions..

i suggest someone in admid makes a proper non bullsh1t detail engine build guide for various power outputs.. -500 -800hp -1000hp maybe a guide on electronical fuel and driveline. etc.. i think this would be a better non timewasting soloution

life is to short to read a post which is 90% not important or related..eapecially when 260 pages..

i have had more help from sydney kid on his own than this whole website combined!!

any suggestions on downloading whole post.. so i can search keywords or similar..

dude there is a 1000 ways to skin a cat, and 100000 ways to make those kind of horsepower levels and 10000000000 posts on here telling you how to do it and 100000000000000 different budgets. If your such a newb to power building then a thread aint gonna be much good either as there is always going to be conflicting information. Your best bet is to doa s you have done and search out which members have the "better" reputations and ask for thier oppinion.

the object of a forum is for everyone to post there oppinions is is then your job to decide which is applicable to you. I can specify a 800hp package that cost 3000 and another for 30,000..... it depends on the application/ budget/ etc

The thread is down from around 300 pages.

I am cleaning it... albeit slowly as i have other pressing things that need sorting out on the forum :action-smiley-069:

The info is there, its (as URAS said) upto you to decide how you wanna go about it.

And its not "Admins role" to make up threads that cover each persons specific needs, thats your job. To research it yourself.

Admin is just here to oversee the running of the forum for the most part.

You basically want someone ELSE to sit down and do a write-up for you, thats just lazy.

Im sorry if this doesnt sit well with you, but it isnt going to change.

I agree, it is a bit of a pain and contains some doubled up info etc but it is getting cleaned up well.

I'm glad I made myself read it all and made notes on what parts / specs people use and noted the page numbers.

You only have to read it once then keep up to date with it every few days. :action-smiley-069:

i understand what your saying dude, that page gives me the shits even though theres some very useful info on there i feel its controlled by half a dozen or so people who are using it for chit chat and other questions not specifically related to the 30 convo and when you ask a legit question the reply is more often than not "go back and read"

"i really want more power from my 32/33 what do i need to do this conversion, my buudget is 5k of fluff" GIVES ME THE SHITSSSSS!!!

on the other hand its real good to see thats its being cleaned up, which as you can imagine will take a long time.

im actually looking at the conversion, and doing it myself ( over a long period of time haha)

and out of the information i got from it was quite useful, and went from 265 pages down to 1 page of what i need to know.

good thing to do at what URAS said was to read the posts of the ppl that actually know what they are saying and what you find useful

I know you are going to be skippin quite alot of some pages and is time consuming, but the build is time consuming aswell.

Plus on the thread, ppl might state how to convert and possibly go the long way about it, go cost effective way, or be expensive as shit. Depends on how much power you want in the end.

And what parts you plan on using.

But i do get what your saying how there is alot of shit on the thread, convos that go off topic, and ppl that dont know what they want.

Take the time to read and reread and digest the information thats important to you.

By the sounds of some ppl here they expect all the info given to them on a platter, if you were serious about doing this conversion you would want all the info u can get plus some more and not start useless topics like this one... This thread should be deleted. :P

Hi GDZ1LA it's true that reading the whole thread can be hard work. However, help is easy to find. The UK GTR site that prego mentioned is outstanding and so is the link to a detailed guide that Cubes has at the end of every post, which you only need click on to download. Some people have read both and posted with questions, and those who've done this conversion are only too happy to answer. R33 Racer, Cubes, Shanef, GTR Geoff and Sydneykid have been a real help to many of us including me.

The RB30 conversion dyno thread will also give you an idea of performance but bear in mind all configurations differ for obvious reasons.

Cheers

I 100% agree, posts like yours suck and 99% of your posts are crap like the one asking for details and specs of big skylines for your so called website, do your own homework and get over yourself as we all start somewhere even if its 300hp

How about if the forum sucks so much we ban you?

    • Howdy all,   I had my rb25det S2 rebuilt and finally started it today but have run into a few issues  Engine sounds like a a diesel easiest way to summarise like small ticking, gets louder when revs are slightly adjusted  The engine builder repainted the engine cover leaving no where for me to go off with lining up the CAS so have it as central as possible so not sure it that could be affecting it?, changed the gearbox fluid too but won’t seem to go into gear when running, and only 1 to 4 when off having a hard time finding 5th and reverse anyone got any ideas or a base for me to start off? much appreciated
    • Well, no. It's an 023, which is pretty similar to an 040. Although it is hard to tell from the specs, as given.
    • Hmm. Maybe the (other thing I forgot about!) Haltech removes at least some, if not all, of the problem I described. I guess there is still the possibility of getting it wrong if the AC is set up/wired up for the Haltech as if it was in an R34 (simply because it's on a Neo), and that's playing foul with the R32 AC computer.
    • Glad it eventually came out Duncan!   I believe that might be 040. 044 is the inline pump, so has screw fittings in and out. 040 is more just drop it in fuel and the bottom is "open" (mesh) from my memory
