Hey guys,

I've been out of touch for a while, but i'm getting a new car soon and i'm tempting the idea of doing away with my Clarion DXZ835MP and getting a true iPod compatible unit.

Current, I play my iPod off the AUX in line on my current unit, but would like to control the music entirely from the head unit itself.

What I want to know, is what are my options for affordable (ie. under $500, as low as possible while keeping good quality sound) deck that will support this (including the price of any adaptor I need to buy to run the iPod).

The only requirements I have for the unit is 4 RCA outs, with as much voltage on the lines as possible.

Any suggestions? Or should I just keep my current unit?

I have clarion ipod adapter. Which allows you to control ipod via the clarion headunit.

if the DXZ835MP is a 2006 model headunit, then it will work.

due to other payments, i wont be purchasing an ipod, so if you're interested in purchasing it off me shoot us a PM.

My Kenwood KDC5029 or whatever has an optional ipod adapter for it... I think a few in that model range do it too. I picked my HU up for $200 about a year ago (second hand, but unused)

Optional adapter is about $70US, and I can only seem to source it on the US ebay. (not that I want it)
