Any photos?

The humidity is something else in the cities. +1 for Hokkaido, was there in July 2023 driving around 2/3rds of the island in a rental and the weather was far better, although it dropped to about 15 deg up in Wakkanai (the place where you can see Sakhalin Island on a clear day) during the day which was unexpected. Sapporo was great, will definitely go back there for the snow festival.

I’ll upload photos once at home. The plane wifi wasn’t the best.

i don’t feel like I did Sapporo justice, as I only had limited time to explore being stuck between hotel and convention centre…

That night shot of Tokyo skytree is great 👍

Did you catch the name of the coffee & pudding cafe? This is my current exploration theme, top notch little hole in the wall Japanese cafes 😄

I’m pretty sure it’s Hekkelun coffee in Nishishimbashi Tokyo. He seems to have become a bit of an internet sensation with his caramel puddings (which are delicious) so it gets a bit crowded and isn’t the chill environment I like for a coffee..

Never been there but seen the social media posts about Hekkelun. Agree about the environment, I'd only go there in the middle of winter for that exact reason.
Le Monde Coffee in northern Nagoya is one I'd like to try out when I'm out that way.

A couple of the coffee & food places I liked around Tokyo:

Switch coffee in Asakusa

Bricolage in Roppongi Hills

Bills Ginza

Nakiryu Ramen in Minamiotsuka

in Sapporo:

Mermaid cafe

Harry Bakery

i found most places are not open before 10am but most the above open round 8-9am.

So these creme caramel puddings are one of my all time favourite things ever. Was one of the first things my grandma taught me to make and I've made them ever since. Didn't know it was a thing in japan! I've always ordered a creme brulee (which is literally this inverted and blowtorched with sugar) at shops but never found caramel puddings mainstream in oz. Pairing it with a coffee... f**kin genius!

They are definitely a good combo!

    • Yep will do. I have a spreadsheet here of them all. I'll post soon.
    • Prolly need a post in here where you can keep tabs of what got moved where. So, for example, 146 drivetrain and transmission just got dealt with. It would be good to know where you can find the content that used to be in there, and same same for the others that got shifted. I mean - I can see where 146 ended up, with suspension and all, but not all such merges might be so easy to parse.
    • I added one, it made the car hotter.... Mind you, that one looked great, did nothing so I sold it on. If you make actual good working ducts as above, it'll definitely work. This isn't that though, out of the box :p
