Hi Guys

For anyone that has changed or looked at a timing belt on rb26, are you able to check the condition of the timing belt quickly by taking off a few parts or is it a huge job? i dont want to change it yet but im curious on whether its been changed or not as car has 93K. If a check can be done quickly, can you please let me know which parts need to come off?

Thanks,

Michael

You need to be careful removing and replacing the CAS sensor on the front of the cover but just 4 allen key bolts and maybe the water feed pipe across the front of the cam gears cover. You won't have much of the belt to look at though.

Mark the CAS and part of the cover with a black marker so you can put it back in the right place.
