No you don't.

I just installed a Tomei pump which is nearly identical.

It's enough to push some serious power without a regulator, up to 300rwkws ?? i believe

If you wanna save a bit of cash,

1) don't get the regulator

2) get the Tomei kit, i don't know but, they look the same and are rated the same and i wouln't be suprised if they ARE the same with a different branding. Tomei is a good brand and i think $50 cheaper.

Yes, reasonably quiet, i can here it but only if the radio is off and standing still.

Check the DIY threads, there's one there with heaps of pics and some of mine showing the unit.

It is a DIRECT swap, slide one out, unclip 1 clip that goes on the new bracket and slide the newie back in.

Easy.

i just fitted the tomei pump to cats car and it pulled 330rwkw no dramas, i love the check valve setup so it primes instantly

With the nismo reg do you just install and go or do you have to set it up to specific pressure you are after

About to install pump and reg + new injectors but unsure if I can chuck it all together myself set correct settings in pfc and go or do I need to get it all installed by tuner. Plan to get it on the dyno again anyway but would rather install parts and just pay for tune rather than time to install as well as tune

If that makes sence

NO. you need to set your fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. do not just bolt on an adjustable reg and hope for the best. could be a recipe for disaster. :P

yes! That is the only reason I bought a sard reg over the nismo one. I wanted to have a fuel pressure gauge tucked away with a warning light. a fuel pump has died on me once before, and I'm paranoid about it now (and fuel surge too). the beauty of my sard reg is the defi sensor just plugs into the side, and when setting it up I can hit a switch on the defi controller which eliminates boost/vacum from the reading so I can accurately see the base pressure withiout having to unplug the vac line etc.

but yes, you can t one in, just a bit of mucking around.

The R34 should be no different to the R33, if so it will be so marginal you won't care.

Just read the R33 thread.

The pics speak for themselves.

Price on Tomei pump (Someone asked) was $340 deilvered from nengun and i suspect it's now cheaper as the dollar has gone higher.

Good luck peeps.

Nice choice of hardware :D

Interested in which button you press on the controller and its effect? Shouldn't turning key to "accessory's" give you a base pressure
