piece of piss, no nee to go to the us for parts. you can buy everthing from your local wrecker as all the parts needed are factory nissan parts, but engineering not so easy.

parts needed

R33 pwr steer pump

r32 or cefiro cross member

r32 rb20 engine mounts and brackets

swap front yoke to rb25 if you are using R33 or R34 box. if you use R34 box the shifter comes out in the right spot :P

voila piece of piss

some pics of my conversion and some info

why are you going to 26? they are far nicer cars with the sr20.

i love the rb power and touqe and the potential or the rb is far more bang for buck compaired to the sr ..hey do you think it's at all possable you coul give me a list of stuff other than the rb26 itself that i should need to to do the conversion sump power steering pump .etc cheers :P

for the 10K is is going to cost to do the swap your sr with another 10k spent on it would eat the 26. a stock rb26 in a S13 is a slug.... trust me ive been there.

i've only got a few grand on top of what ever i get for the sr the sr is at the stage where it need a gear box up grade a clutch to match the tail sharft will have to be come a one peice unit the rubber mount mounts need replacing and i think having wolf ecu huge top mount turbo cams etc not even the sr will pass an engineers test .. iget pulled over a lot :P i just was wanting about 350kws and no lag with it like the turbo the sr has ...why did you put the rb in the s13 does it have any thing down low for drift?
6k including engine and box is very easy to do if you know how to use a spanner

pm me if ya want it done

std 26 for sure, i think our front cut +box was about that but we have done it before. a workshop will usually charge bewteen 8-10k (incl engine)from what ive been told.

I suggest you talk to Geoff Raicer of Full Race Motorsport about his R14 if you haven't already . He went to a lot of effort to make a "BNS-14" and I very much doubt a 2WD version was on the cards . Geoffs no dope , power without traction is an expensive exercise in futility which is why theirs is AWD . I haven't asked him but I'd say itys highly likely they went RB26 because the AWD transmission goes bolt and he happens to like the RB26 top end .

Plenty of Americans have lots of fun with turbocharged KA24DE's but no one here can get it through their skulls that you don't need lots of revs if the torque is there . Sure the stroke is long but so is the rod and the block is tall and iron , wouldn't you think 6.5K revs is enough for a drift engine where you have to drive it on the throttle and have the boost and revs follow your foot ? With the right bits KA24's fall into S13/14 because they were native in the USDM S13/14 240SX .

Cheers .

not a hope in hell in doin a rb26 with a rb25 box for only 6k inc all the other shit u need

parts alone will cost more than that

yeah i was quoted $7500 r32 gtr front cut $1800 r33 5 speed box from adilade jap then there is the rad' the inter cooler piping hooking the exhaust up power steering pump off an r33 air filters getting the wiring joined to the s14 wiring loom modifying the gtr sump tail sharft bla bla bla ...so on so on but if there is any one that can get any of these things cheaper please let me know :P ....

i know mate as i do these conversions so i know what it costs to do these rb conversions into silvias

i think his car is way overpriced and overated..... that was done here in australia about 10 years ago..... into a silver VL. You could do a just as good a job for half the money. fitting up the front double wishbone is a piece of piss and the gtr front xmember 98% bolts in to a stock s13. nearly went this path with cats car but i ran out of time to section the suspension pickup points.

the cheapest i can see anyone getting out of this conversion doin it themself it 8500-9

i picked up my engine gearbox package for around 7600.. and ANYONE that does this conversion i highly recommend you put some new turbos on with steel wheels.. dont waste your time with the stock ones or you'll be doin wat im doin at the moment.. also put a good oil pump on and preferably get a 33 engine as they have the better oil pump drive just a few mistakes i made...

Hey there, I have an RB25 in an S14. It's becoming a more and more popular swap here in the States, I actually just used a premade kit. Came with motor mounts, downpipe, and driveshaft. All I needed was the motor/tranny/ecu/harness and R33 crossmember. http://dfreaq.com/shop/index.php?cPath=21&...2376ce3fbb8bc46

My KA24 was crapping out on me at the time, and though I love the RB, if I had to do it all over I'd probably just get a new KA (~$300) and build up the internals. The whole project ended up being alot more expensive than I had anticipated. Plus, the RB motor threw off the car's balance with 200 extra lbs. up front.
