rb20det, is missing, only when it is hot, appears to be on cyl no 5 have swapped coil packs around same thing seems to be happening any ideas,

I think it might be your plugs then....

Try replacing them, maybe they are farked or have the wrong heat range

When you say missing do you mean on idle?

might be a plug will have to try that, am runing a microtech and yeah at idle

How obvious is the miss. I ask this because I think I have one but not sure. Its only on idle and it is no that obvious but my car just came back from the workshop after have rear main seal, head gasket, new cam belt and all new engine hoses done and the idle is not as smooth as it once was,

Had similar problem in mine. It was the "Ignitor module". One of the power amplifier's in it was shonky when warm!!

I think some of the after market management systems actually cut out some cylinders at idle, make sure thats not your problem....

I have a similar problem (missing) at the moment too - always misses on the 3rd to 4th gearchange -at the same point on the same road everytime - bizarre.....

I say this only because you say it happens when car is warm.

What sort of voltage are you getting. (Do you have a handset, i think voltage is on the display!)

I had probs with my Microtech as the alternator wasnt quite up to the job. My car would start to miss then run real doughy.

Throw some cheap copper plugs (correctly gapped) in, see of that does the job
