New on with cams and exhurst and 18psi.

I am running HKS 2530s as title

Boost controler is Blitz ID3

Cam dial in no clue thats up to Dart automotive the tuner.

They never said it couldnt be done they just said it was alot of money for small gain pulling the turbos out.

Anyway man problem now is that car is maybe a bit too loud with the new exhurst. Dumps are not fitted are just sitting on my desk will be done later down the track or may sell the HKS exhurst and get something thats not so loud.

I thought you could buy them muffler tip inserts for them exhausts? Not sure now. Just plugs in the back and reduces the sound down and you can take it back out when you want it non restricted!

Anyone got any more info on this or if it's my imadgination :) i'll have a look!

It has the tip inserts even with them in it was loudish got defected yesterday for the exhurst being too loud and low, so will have to do a Db test now to see how loud it is.

Then on the way home i blew some gasket on the plenum side i think dam car is cursed

Power is in Awd, would most likey make 350 odd kws with boost on 25psi anyway now i need to clear my defects and fix what ever that problem is.

Can anyone comment on the need with the trust/greddy dump front pipes (pictured above) to brace the pipes I think to the bellhousing

am sure I read on here somewhere that without bacing them it can cause drama's with cracking pipes etc

(from memory the pics on that thread were no longer working)

Am hoping to fit these to mine soon but using garret turbos, supposedly that makes the job harder than using trust turbos as well

Should be alot a fun but hopefully worth the effort.

You should brace any exhaust as best you can really.

When things get super hot, you dont need weighted items dragging down other parts

They will warp/blow gaskets etc etc. All sorts of annoying stuff :)

Hmm they are rather nice might look into getting a set in to try on my GTR.

There certainly are a few neat little tricks to getting the turbo's on an off quickly. But once everything is removed from around the area its really not hat hard.

Angus smart which GTR is yours?? we see so many of them its next to impossible to keep track of them atm.

Dark blue one from the car club :)

Cheers mate figured as much will have to try an find that thread an see if anyone has some pics of how they braced theres

hopefully will be reasonably obvious anyway

they are braced at the gearbox mount which is more than adequate (never had a return in 6 years). The main reason for cracking pipes is a lack of flex joints on the cheap ones. A good GTR front pipe will be equal length and have a flex joint in one of the up pipes.

cheers URAS yeh mine has a flex joint in it so I dont need to add additional bracing yes?? hope so want to heat wrap the dumps so will be easier without extra braces added and in the way.

Will wait till they arrive an have a good look might even ceramic coat em not 100% sure yet.
