midship
Can anybody advise me if the R34 GTR rims fit into R34 GTT with or without mods such as lipping cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168105-r34-gtr-alloys-into-a-r34-gtt/ Share on other sites
DECIM8
Advice from what ive heard is direct fit .. Lipping required if car is dropped to much.. you will have no issues with them.. Howie
Running 34 GTR rims on a GTT here. Sitting at 355mm front 355mm rear ride height. No lipping. Minor scrubbing on the inner plastic guard but only on full lock and going over uneven ground. Additional... no issues with TCS, or speedometer contrary to what is heard of these forums. Does stick out a few mm from the front however - so may be a legality issue there. 8110
midship, you got your ride already? The BNR34 rims will fit but it juts out just a wee 'lil bit. On a glance it looks flush with the body actually. SS8_Gohan
so 9" fits at the front... hmm. what about 18 x 9 +18 or +21, not the best offset, but would it be OK? wrxhoon, are your rims just rims or rims/tyres? are GTR rims forged? n15m0
Pretty sure GTR rims are forged, hence the price they command. 18x9 +9 or +21 will definately need guardwork unless you plan to ride like a 4WD. Howie
I can confirm it is forged. It has it stamped on the side of the rim also. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168105-r34-gtr-alloys-into-a-r34-gtt/#findComment-3122829 Share on other sites

Thats not my car in the pic, I took that in Osaka in December 2004. If you look on the windscreen you will see the price in jap yen. I have a set of rims for sale ( just rims ) GTR tyres wouldn't be suitable for a GTT . R34 GTR rims are 18x9, 30 offset and they are forged, very strong and light for the size at around 9 kg each. midship
So to cap it all up GTR 34 rims fit the ER34 GTT... what about rubbers? 235/40 all round? Howie
Factory tyres are 245/40 ZR18 Potenza RE040. And yes these tyres are perfectly suitable for a GTT also. SS8_Gohan
i've heard it's not the best to run the same width rim all the way around? but then again, factory GTT rims are 7.5"... maybe it refers to when you're getting quite wide, like 9" or is it that as long as you have wider TYRES rear to front, it's ok? i suppose this is coming from a steering/handling stand point... SS8_Gohan
got some pics of your car you could put up Howie? i'm thinking GTR alloys might be a good idea, in terms of a reasonably priced forged rim Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168105-r34-gtr-alloys-into-a-r34-gtt/#findComment-3127341 Share on other sites
Howie
From a handling point of view, fats on the back. But no dramas having the same width all way around - just make sure you ditch the factory piece of crap Potenza rubbers though. These pics are a little out of date... had the car lowered slightly since then.
