Hi Everyone,

Some opinions please. With all the speculations on the Next R35 GTR, I stumbled on this little beauty. Could the next GTR posses the same detuned engine as seen in the R390 Lemans Special? We've all been guessing V6 or V8, Twin Turbo or Not, VQ33 or VQ35?? How about this VQ35 V8 Twin Turbo producing 550hp follow this link R390 Lemans.

This site also mentioned the probability of this engine being fitted to the R35 scroll to bottom of the page.

To me this seems the most likely, seeing most companies including porsche develop their performance ranges based on detuned Lemans versions.

I don't think so about these pics coz they were just a computer-generated ones. As you've seen the prototype of the GT-R (I can't find the pics), the pics on the site you gave, when you look closly, the body, bumpers, lights, all are based on the ER34 (does anybody agree with me???). that's why I think that could not be possible to be out of like that.

It's just my openion......

A couple of points to be made here.

There was an article by the chief designer of the new GT-R and he stated that the car WILL have the Afterburner lights...

"If it doesn't have the round lights, then it's not a Skyline" that was a direct quote.

also, they are no longer the 'R' models, they have changed to 'V'

so it's the 'V35' Skyline GT-R.

and finally, [ryan] was correct, the most possible course of action for the new GT-R is a Twin Turbo 3.5L V6 with the ATTESSA 4WD system.

The Audi TT, Soarer and 350Z all look the same.. Yuk.

The new Infiniti Coupe in the US doesn't grab me to much either.

I hope the V35 GTR takes a new direction in design instead of being another TT look alike.

Also what was the talk of electric motors to provide the front wheel drive part of the equation ?
