hey guys i hope this is the right spot to post this, im a newbie on this forum.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR MY DRIFT CAR (A31 Cefiro, Rb20) I DONT HAVE A CAT SO DONT SAY OH ITLL SCREW UR CAT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

also, please no useless posts, i just wanna know wether to get 1 or not becoz the group buy seems cheap and ive always been thinking about getting 1, now the chance has come.

Just wondering, bee r rev limiters, i understand they are good on the inside motor side of it. what about when ur exhaust is combusting fuel, is it treating the turbo ok? is there any down falls to getting one? im not doing it for wank factor, if u guys all say theres no use besides wank, then i wont bother. but i want a reliable drift car.

I bought one these for the purpose of flat shifting, I have a micro-switch hooked up to the clutch pedal and everything. When I try to flat shift, the gears won't slot in, I've tried doing it at different rpm's but still the same result. If you can't do this I don't see the purpose of them. Maybe this is just my car, maybe its just the way I have set it up but IMO its not worth money. You'd be better putting your money aside for something useful ie. water injection, lots of toluene.

Another thing I've noticed when I normally shift with the micro-switch engaged the knock the level jumps by 8, and this is with a very conservative tune only running on 8psi until I finish the rest of the mods. So if you put this on a motor already on the limit that gets flogged around a drift track I can see the knock value jumping dramatically. And your motor will be more than likely pinging it's tits off ending in certain destruction.

the benefit of the Bee*R over the standard limiter is that it cuts fuel rather than ignition so theres no leaning out in the cylender, but if it detonates in the exhaust housing of the turbo this could cause some problems over time, but it should detonate in there coz its cuts ignition, not to say it cant happen but in theory i guess it shouldnt!

there is no real benefit to them apart from the flames. fuel cut rev limit is not bad, and your engine does not lean out. the rev limit cuts fuel completely so there is no combustion at all in that cylinder. the only positive the bee-r limiter will give you is some pretty flames and some banging.

now its really early in the morning, and ive had too much coffee... but i thought the bee r limiters cut ignition, not fuel.. hence the overfueling and causing the flames.. as a mechanic, i can say that an engine doing 9000rpm, then having its fuel cut is a recipe for detonation.

the limiter is designed for launches.. so you can set it at your desired launch rpm, hold the throttle wide open and it will hold it at that rpm so all you have to do is hold it flat and dump the clutch. im pretty sure you can set it to a certain rpm to act as a rev limiter, aslong as its before the standard rev limit.

just buy it, who cares, id pay $200 to pop a flame.. its heaps fun.. i could do it in my garage all night long! while your at it, get an ecu that can control anti lag and get that set up.. wake every bastard up at 2 in the morning in your street.

just remember, if theres a reason, no matter how small it is, its worth it.

If i banged the rev limiter ready to launch next to a VL or something at a set of lights, i believe hed either take his seatbelt off

open the door and run or jst turn into the nearest driveway so that he doesn't bother...

However, im sure its good for the engine but i just want some clarification on what its like for the turbo... im running a Garret GT 28-76R...

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?

Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no.     • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
