some guy (cant be bothered looking it up lol) did a experiment not to long ago with aftermarket filters and stock paper one and the results were pretty suprising.

On average the aftermarket oil based filters like k&n didnt make much of a difference over a stock paper filter and after a bit of driving the k&n was actually worse in flow since the oil clogs the filter compared to the stock. So imo if your not after 500rwhp just replace the stock paper filter every couple of months and save you money. Or go and get a trust non oil type..
